Never Ending Story

Hopefully some will remember the Movie - "The Never Ending Story", released in 1984. Many fantasy stories have thoughts or points to ponder within the story. I was going through a divorce at that time and was feeling pretty overwhelmed with the responsibility I knew I had raising two children by myself. This story gave me hope, strength to carry on in spite of knowing I would be on my own. I took notes (watched the movie 3 - 4 times) so I could remember the thoughts contained within the movie. I share them with you now as I believe the truths there still remain.
  • Don't let sadness overtake you.
  • Never give up hoping
  • Don't quit; always keep moving
  • We have to hurt to heal
  • Never give up and good luck will find you
  • If you do not feel your own worth, it will destroy you. Confidence in yourself rids many a problem
  • Many have come face to face with their true selves; Most run away from what they truly see about themselves
  • There are no boundaries to our fantasies - but when we cease to dream, we cease to live.
  • Dreams do not exist by themselves. They need the hopes of the human heart to exist.
  • Fantasia is the world of human fantasy. Every part, every creature is a piece of the dreams and hopes of mankind. It has no boundary; lose your hopes and forget your dreams and Nothing grows stronger. Nothing is emptiness and despair.
  • If you have no hopes you become easy to control, you have no power. The power behind nothing is hopelessness.
  • You are a part of a never-ending story. You are important - Always; So whatever happens in life, Never give up.
  • Fantasia lives inside us all - It is hopes, dreams, and wishes. You can have as many as you like. Fantasia is endless. Drown your fears - In your hands is the breath of a new day.

What Do You Think?

It doesn't really matter what anybody else thinks.

What matters is do I think what I am doing is right?

Does it complete me as a woman?

Or does it leave me feeling incomplete? Unsatisfied?

Teach me to truly give.

What would God have to say about what I am doing? He created me.

Am I being the kind of woman He wants me to be?

Am I exercising all my God-given female capabilities, or just chasing after certain ones in the pursuit of false hopes?

Temporary satisfaction?

Temporary happiness?

My own self-interests?
God, Help me to be strong. Give me insight and direction.

Make me all of what You want me to be as a woman and to leave behind those things that are not for me, or are not good for me.

Show me patience and teach me to be a true lover of life.
Let all my relationships glorify You and truly bless those I encounter and share a piece of life with.
